The old Ford models like Falcon, Ranchero, Fairlane, Galaxie and Torino have their own unique spirit. If you want a true American muscle car, there is nothing more suitable than one of these models. May be the Fairlane is one of the best basis for making a real fast drag racer.

Here is a 1956 Ford Fairlane with enormous 9.8 liter custom built V8 Big Block produced by Big Al’s Toy Box in CT. The engine produces 1000HP and alone costs more than $30 000, but it makes the car unique. The power plant is mated to a manual Cohen T – 400 with a trans brake, trans shield, and trans cooler. It is capable of handling more than 1500HP.

This Fairlane comes with everything you need to go on a drag strip and be a champion. The car is equipped with a full roll-cage, auto meter gauges and all new interior. The suspension has A-arms with a rack. There is also a firewall, aero fuel system Dual optima batteries and polished aluminum 15 gallon fuel cell.

It costs a lot of money to build such type of car, but if you own a Fairlane in good stock condition you can start by finding and choosing upgrades for it. One of the best places is Dearborn classics, where you can find almost everything for old Ford cars.  They also offer various parts for Falcon, Ranchero, Galaxie and Torino models, which are also very rare.

It is always fun to restore and upgrade your old muscle car, so do not hesitate and start now.
