Still searching for the perfect Father’s Day present for your dad this year but not found anything yet with the ‘wow’ factor he deserves? Then a high-speed Supercar Thrill at Croft could be just the answer – and if you get in quick, you’ll even receive a cheeky discount, too (don’t worry, we won’t tell him about that part!).
Croft is the north-east’s premier motor sport venue, hosting the high-profile Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) later this month. The popular circuit has in the past welcomed the likes of current Formula 1 stars Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, plus former world champions James Hunt, Alan Jones and the late, great Ayrton Senna as well as Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti – and now you can give your dad the chance to follow in their illustrious wheeltracks.
Croft’s spectacular Supercar line-up includes the breathtaking Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, fabulous Ferrari F430, stylish Lamborghini Gallardo, James Bond-esque Aston Martin V8 Vantage, hip Porsche Cayman and avant-garde Audi R8. Its experience days can be enjoyed on selected dates throughout the year, with vouchers valid for 12 months from time of booking.
Croft’s long straights and challenging hairpins, corners and chicanes allow its sextet of Supercars to be driven the way they were designed to be driven – flat-out – enabling lucky drivers to experience their awesome power, head-turning acceleration and incredible braking in all their glory. A staggering 570 horses underneath the bonnet, a 200mph top speed and 0-60mph in a jaw-dropping 3.5 seconds, anyone?
Prices start from less than £100 for a Porsche Cayman Thrill, right up to the top-of-the-range package allowing you to get behind the wheel of four of the best Supercars ever made – the Aventador Roadster, F430, Cayman and R8 – for £499. Better yet, book online or over the phone before 23:59 on Father’s Day (Sunday, 15 June) and you’ll receive a 10% discount into the bargain!
All of Croft’s driving experiences begin with a detailed briefing followed by track familiarisation laps in a performance saloon car before you are handed the keys to the Supercar. A full driving licence is required.
